Frequently Asked

What types of Pilates classes do you offer?

We offer a variety of classes designed for different goals, experience levels, and preferences, including Heated Mat Pilates, Traditional Mat Pilates, Reformer Pilates, and Sculpt. Whether you’re looking to strengthen, tone, improve flexibility, or simply move your body in a way that feels good, there’s a class for you.

What is Heated Mat Pilates?

Heated Mat Pilates combines traditional Pilates-inspired movements with the added intensity of a heated studio. The warmth can help your body feel more mobile while creating a challenging, sweat-filled workout focused on core strength, control, flexibility, and endurance.

How hot are Heated Mat classes?

Our heated classes are designed to feel warm and energizing without taking away from your ability to move with control. We recommend arriving hydrated, bringing water, and listening to your body throughout class.

What is Traditional Mat Pilates?

Traditional Mat Pilates uses controlled, intentional movements performed primarily on a mat. Classes focus on core strength, posture, stability, flexibility, balance, and body awareness without the use of a reformer.

What is Reformer Pilates?

Reformer Pilates uses specialized Pilates equipment with a moving carriage, springs, straps, and resistance. The reformer allows us to challenge your strength, stability, flexibility, and coordination while offering modifications for different experience levels.

I’ve never used a reformer. Can I still take a class?

Absolutely! Beginners are welcome. Your instructor will introduce you to the equipment and help you understand proper positioning, form, and movement. If you’re completely new to Pilates, we recommend starting with one of our beginner-friendly classes.

What is Sculpt?

Sculpt is a strength-focused class designed to tone, strengthen, and challenge your entire body. Expect Pilates-inspired movements combined with resistance and strength exercises for an upbeat, full-body workout.

What’s the difference between Sculpt and Pilates?

Pilates places a strong emphasis on controlled movement, core engagement, alignment, stability, and mind-body connection. Sculpt incorporates many of those same principles while adding more strength and resistance-based movements for an extra challenge.

Which class should I take if I’m a beginner?

You don’t have to be experienced to start Pilates! Traditional Mat and beginner-level Reformer classes are great places to begin. Our instructors can also help you determine which class best matches your comfort level and goals.

Do I need to be flexible to do Pilates?

Not at all. Flexibility is something Pilates can help you develop over time. You don’t need to be flexible, strong, or experienced before your first class.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable, fitted athletic clothing that allows you to move freely. Clothing that stays close to the body also helps your instructor better see your alignment and form.

Do I need grip socks?

Grip socks are required for Reformer Pilates and may be recommended for other classes. They help provide additional traction, cleanliness, and stability while moving through your workout.

What should I bring to class?

Bring water and any personal essentials you may need. For heated classes, we highly recommend arriving well hydrated and bringing extra water.

How early should I arrive?

We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes before your first class so you have time to check in, get comfortable with the studio, and meet your instructor. For future classes, please arrive with enough time to be ready when class begins.

Can I do Pilates if I have an injury or physical limitation?

Many Pilates movements can be modified, but every situation is different. Please let your instructor know about any injuries, limitations, pregnancy, recent surgeries, or other concerns before class. When appropriate, we may recommend speaking with your healthcare provider before participating.

How often should I take Pilates?

Consistency matters more than perfection. Many clients enjoy Pilates 2–4 times per week, depending on their goals, fitness level, and other activities. Mixing Reformer, Mat, Heated Mat, and Sculpt can also create a well-rounded weekly routine.

Can I mix different class types?

Definitely! We encourage it. You might choose Reformer for strength and control, Mat for core and technique, Heated Mat for an added challenge, and Sculpt for strength and conditioning. Your routine can be customized around what you enjoy and how your body feels.

Do I need to reserve my class in advance?

We recommend reserving your spot ahead of time, especially for Reformer classes where equipment and class sizes are limited. Advance booking also helps ensure you get the class time you prefer.

What if I’m running late?

For everyone’s safety and to minimize disruptions, late entry may not be permitted after class has begun. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early so you’re settled and ready to move when class starts.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that plans change. Classes should be canceled within our designated cancellation window to avoid a late-cancellation fee or loss of the class credit. Please refer to our booking policies for the current cancellation timeframe and details.
